The Folk School of Chattanooga Kids’ Camp is a relaxed, yet thoughtfully structured environment in which  campers  ages 4-11 can actively learn, create, and contribute!

Tues-Thurs, June 12-14, 9am-noon.

Like our popular event last summer, we’ll meet for three mornings at the St. Elmo Fire Hall. Each day begins at 9:00 with a large group activity or presentation, and campers will then be placed in small groups for rotations through through vocal, creative movement,  instrumental and related arts activities.   At the close of camp on Thursday, students will present an informal concert featuring material learned throughout the week.   We’ll continue celebrating that night at the Lindsey Street Hall, with a square dance, food, and music!

In addition to musical leaders Christie Burns, Matt Evans, and Kara Miscio, there will be a guest instructor each day to share skills in areas such as storytelling, art or dance. There will also be volunteers on hand throughout the morning to make sure that camp is a safe, productive and memorable event for all!

Cost is $100 and includes a t-shirt and admission to Thursday night’s event at the Lindsey Street Hall.  Campers should bring a snack and a water bottle each day.  Registration is limited to 30 campers, so sign up early and we’ll save you a spot!

*Note: This link will take you a PayPal checkout screen so you can make your payment.  Either in the “comments” section of the transaction, or in a separate email to music@chattanoogafolk.com please send us basic info about the child/children you’re registering for camp.  Name, age, and if they have any musical experience already.  Thanks!
