8-week class: Mandolin 1

Mandolin for the absolute beginner.

We will cover basic right-hand and left-hand technique as well as a couple of tunes and how to accompany others.

We'll use easy to read tablature and playing by ear to work on notes, chords, timing and rhythm concepts. By the end of this class, you'll be able to play melody and chords to the songs "Angeline the Baker" and "Soldier's Joy", and you'll be ready to take it out to a jam session!

This 8-week class meets Monday's at 7:30 starting on September 24th. Last class is on November 12th.
